Q: What is a pack raft?
A: Small to medium size, Inflatable raft that is designed to be lightweight and portable.

Q: How do I pick up my pack raft(s) once I place my order?
A: I will reach out to you once your order is confirmed and establish a meeting place that is safe & convenient for both parties. I'm happy to coordinate, I can text or call you, whichever works best for you.

Q: How much does a pack raft weigh?
A: It varies by model (generally a 4-11 lbs. depending on model), if you can carry a grocery bag, you can carry a pack raft, they really are that light and portable.

Q: What is included in a pack raft rental package?
A: That's all dependent on the items you wish to rent from us. See our Rental options and Add-On services to tailor your next adventure.

Q: How much does it cost to rent a pack raft?
A: It varies by pack raft hourly rate (2 hr., 4 hr., 8 hr., or 2-day rental options, "Add-On Services" and accessories.

Q: Can I pick up the pack raft the day before my rental period begins?
A: Generally, no, unless special arraignments are setup with the owner, or you are renting for a multi-day service.

Q: What are the best rivers or lakes to use a pack raft in the area?
A: There are many to choose from located in North and Central Texas, see our blog post section for more details or ideas on where to pack raft. They're all great options in our opinion.

Q: What is the recommended length of time for a pack rafting trip?
A: It varies by each individual. It can be fun but remember it will be physically demanding. Plan to work out your lower back, arms, and core muscle groups. If it's your first time, it might be safe to try and 1- or 2-hour rental for starters. Always remember to stretch and warm up your muscles before getting onto the water.

Q: What safety equipment is included with a pack raft rental?
A: Along with the pack raft, a USCG approved Type II - Orange PFD (lifejacket "Kent") is supplied. We also offer upgraded PFD for an additional cost, generally $5.00 - $10.00 depending on PFD, see our product page for other USCG approved options. A paddle would need to also be rented and is not included with the pack raft rental price.

Q: Are instruction on how to use a pack raft provided?
A: You can find many videos on this subject via YouTube. We also offer "Add-On" service to learn how to pack raft if that's more conducive to your rental adventure.

Q: Can I use my own paddles and Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs)?
A: Yes; you can use your own paddle. Please make sure your PFD is USCG-approved for the type of water usage and appropriately sized for your weight.

Q: Are there any restrictions on where I can take the pack raft?
A: Generally, no, unless there is specific "No Trespassing" signage.

Q: What is the process for returning the pack raft after my rental period?
A: Coordinate a drop off with the Owner or elect the upgrade "Make Ready" package to come and go on your timeline.

Q: Can I rent a pack raft for a multi-day trip?
A: Yes, there are rental options available

Q: Are there any age restrictions for renting a pack raft?
A: This is at the parents' discretion - However life jackets must be worn at all times by anyone under the age of 13 per United Stages Coast Guard & Texas Law. You must supply your child with an approved life jacket.

Q: What is the process for booking a pack raft rental?
A: Select your raft, add-on services if applicable, and proceed to check-out. The owner will coordinate with you on pick-up and Drop-off details based on your lake location.

Q: Is there a maximum number of pack rafts that can be rented at one time?
A: For 2023 yes, 3 rafts are available, going into 2024 additional rafts including 2-person Canoe style and other versions will be added for rental in Spring 2024. Our website will have the most up to date rentals available at time of review.

Q: Are pets allowed in the pack rafts?
A: Not at this time.

Q: What is the typical length of a pack raft?
A: 89-95 inches while inflated for the standard size raft, larger rafts (Mule & Oryx versions) range from 100-129 inches.

Q: How do I transport the pack raft to the launch site?
A: They are extremely portable. Carry them to the launch site, inflate, and paddle away!
